Color DNA and color sources

Choose global theme colors, a Shopify scheme or local custom controls.

Overview

Custom color pickers are conditional. Some legacy saved controls remain for compatibility; changing a new default does not overwrite your saved palette.

Step by step

  1. Set your brand colors under Theme settings → Colors / Color DNA.
  2. In a supported section choose Theme colors to use those global values, Color scheme to use a Shopify scheme, or Custom for local colors.
  3. In a block use Inherit where offered to follow its parent. Open the appropriate override only when that component needs its own treatment.
  4. If changing global colors appears to do nothing, inspect whether the section or component has a saved custom override.
